The Bonnie Doon Sound
Inspired by the legendary 1950s–1970s approaches of Sun and Motown, Bonnie Doon Studio focuses on capturing a "moment in time." Bonnie Doon specialize in live performances that prioritize energy and feel over clinical perfection. The goal is to provide local artists with an accessible high-quality recording experience that stays true to their sound
The Deal & The Process
Hamilton Artists & Bands Only: Get a professional 8-song album tracked, mixed, mastered and ready for the world for one exclusive price.
● Tier 1: The "905to212 NYC Connection" – $3,699 + HST
Record 8 songs, including one cover of a New York City artist/band.*
● Tier 2: The "Pure Original" – $3,850 + HST
Record 8 original tracks of your choice.
* The 905to212 NYC Perk: By choosing the $3,699 tier, your NYC cover will be featured on an upcoming 905to212 vinyl & digital compilation release.
What’s Included
● The Weekend: Friday setup 6-8pm | Saturday live-off-the-floor tracking (8 songs) 10am to 6pm | Sunday overdubs 10am to 6pm
● Production & Sound Engineering: Produced by Thomas Duxbury (Bonnie Doon).
● Post-Production: Full mixing and mastering for 8 tracks
● Ownership: You receive both .wav files and mp3 files of your completed tracks.
● Revisions: Up to 2 revisions (not including initial routing mix).
● Distribution (Optional): Free 12” Vinyl, CD, and DSP Distribution to all platforms.**
● Payment Terms: Deposit $300 / 50% 4 weeks prior / Remainder due for final mixes

Who Can Apply?
- We are seeking artists and bands where at least one member is from the Hamilton area.
What Kind Of Bands Are We Looking For?
- up to 5 piece for live session.
How Does The Selection Process Work?
- Phase 1 (Open Call): We are targeting a pool of 10 local bands for consideration. The online submission form can be found at www.905to212.com/albuminaweekend
- Phase 2
Final Selection:
- (Selection based on bands preparedness, originality, and projects that fit the sound we are looking for)
What Is The Project Timeline?
- Submissions Open: April 24, 2026.
- Submissions Close: May 15, 2026.
- Artist Notification: May 31, 2026.
- Contract & Deposit Deadline: June 15, 2026
2. Production & Rights
What Are The Contract Terms?
- We use "Plain-English" Agreements to ensure transparency.
Ownership:
- The artist retains 100% ownership of the master recording.
Licensing:
- The artist will grant 905to212 a license to use the NYC Cover track on this compilation in perpetuity.
3. ** Optional Distribution - Revenue & Splits
What Does It Cost The Artist?
- There is zero upfront cost. 905to212 covers distribution and launch services.
How Do Royalty & Revenue Splits Work?
- Digital Streaming/Sales: 85% Artist / 15% 905to212.
- Physical (Vinyl/CD): 50% / 50% profit split.
- Merch: 50% / 50% profit split.
- Touring: For any booked 905to212 tour dates, the split is 85% Artist / 15% 905to212.
